The first flight of the Chinese airline Juneyao Air, arriving from Shanghai, was met at Vladivostok International Airport. According to the press service of the airport, the opening of the new route was made possible thanks to the airport's cooperation with representatives of the tourism business and the carrier itself. The airport expects that the route will increase the transport accessibility of the region and will contribute to the development of international relations.
Flights will be operated twice a week — on Mondays and Fridays. Flights are operated on Airbus A321 aircraft, the travel time is about 3 hours and 30 minutes. According to experts, the new route will provide additional passenger traffic and expand opportunities for tourist trips and business visits between Russia and China.
With the introduction of Juneyao Air flights, the total number of weekly flights between Shanghai and Vladivostok has increased to eight. Russian airlines Rossiya (part of the Aeroflot Group) and S7 Airlines also operate in this area. Juneyao Air is one of China's largest private airlines, founded in 2005 and based at Shanghai Hongqiao and Pudong Airports.
