Li Shaoshi, General Director of Xinxing Far Eastern Corporation LLC, stressed that Russian-Chinese cooperation in the energy sector has long had a stable foundation. According to him, LNG supplies from the United States or other geopolitical circumstances will not affect plans to expand the energy partnership, especially with regard to the export of Russian liquefied natural gas to China.
Xinxing Company represents the interests of the Chinese corporation Zhongyou Xinxing and implements investment projects in the Russian Far East. In particular, Li Shaoshi reported on preparations for the construction of an LNG plant in Khabarovsk with investments of about 3.5 billion rubles, as well as development plans in Primorye and the Jewish Autonomous Region.
The Russian-Chinese forum, where the expert spoke, is being held on May 19-20 in Khabarovsk under the motto "Bolshoy Ussuriysky: cooperation in the joint development of the island." The focus is on issues of industrial cooperation, transport, ecology and tourism between the two countries.
