Celebrations were held in Shanghai in honor of the National Cosmonautics Day. The celebration also included a conference on international cooperation in the space sector, a gala concert and an exhibition showcasing the country's achievements in space exploration.
The conference discussed issues of international cooperation in space exploration, including the development of the international lunar station. Representatives from Russia, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia and other countries discussed the prospects of placing research infrastructure and energy sources on the Moon, as well as providing water supply.
The exhibition, organized as part of the event, featured mock-ups of space technology and equipment, as well as samples of lunar soil collected on the Chang'e-5 and Chang'e-6 missions. Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng highlighted the city's contribution to the development of the Chinese space industry and announced plans to participate in lunar exploration and space exploration.
