This was reported at the Design and Technological Institute of Scientific Instrumentation SB RAS.

The Novosibirsk Institute has developed a device for adjusting the active surfaces of space telescope mirrors. It will be used for space exploration beyond the Solar System and the search for planets suitable for life, according to the Design and Technological Institute of Scientific Instrumentation SB RAS.

The development will be transferred to the Beijing Institute of Space Mechanics and Electrical Engineering as part of the Miyin scientific program. As early as 2030, the scientific institution plans to launch a series of spacecraft with modern telescopes, infrared detectors and other sensors to monitor areas of space adjacent to our galaxy.

According to the Novosibirsk Institute, comprehensive tests of the device took place in April, which included the determination of accuracy characteristics in all coordinates and mechanical tests on a vibration stand. After that, a joint meeting of scientists was held, where it was noted that the project had become a model of cooperation between Chinese and Russian teams to create high-tech space technology with world-class characteristics in the face of external challenges.
