This was announced by the relevant specialist Yang Liwei.

For the mission to land on the surface of the Moon, taikonauts who have already flown to the Tiangong orbital station will be selected, Yang Liwei, the first Chinese taikonaut, deputy chief designer of the Manned Space Flight Program of the People's Republic of China, told the Global Times newspaper.

Prototypes of all the technical means that are planned to be used to move on the surface of the Moon are currently being tested, he said. Plans have also been drawn up to conduct scientific experiments for both unmanned and manned flight.

The mission will involve the Mengzhou manned spacecraft, the Lanyue lander, a lunar rover and spacesuits, Yang Liwei said. China plans to land taikonauts on the surface of the Moon by 2030.
