The report of the Government of the People's Republic of China was presented at the opening of the 3rd session of the National People's Congress (NPC, Parliament) of the 14th convocation. As follows from the text of the document, over the past year, China has achieved important new developments in the field of building national defense and the armed forces.
The document also states the need to comprehensively strengthen military training and combat training, accelerate the development of new-quality combat power. In addition, the country's authorities intend to form a system of modern military theory with Chinese characteristics, and resolutely guard the sovereignty, security, and development interests of the state.
Among other things, the report notes the need to coordinate efforts to promote reforms affecting both the military and civilian sectors, optimize the system of defense science, technology and industry, and improve the working mechanism to strengthen the integrated state strategic system and build appropriate capacity.
