Speaking at a press conference following a high-level meeting of the UN Security Council on the implementation of multilateral reforms and improving global governance, Wang Yi noted that the resolution on the establishment of two states — Palestine and Israel — was adopted 70 years ago, but so far only half of this decision has been implemented.
The State of Israel has long been formed, but the Palestinian people do not have their own country to this day, the Chinese Foreign Minister recalled. Earlier it became known that Israel and Hamas reached an agreement on the release of hostages held in Gaza and the introduction of a ceasefire in the enclave. The agreement, which includes three stages, entered into force on January 19.
