According to the President of Bolivia, Chinese President Xi Jinping wants to consider the possibility of assisting in the construction of an interoceanic train that will connect the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The head of China has expressed his desire to participate in this project.
The train will start moving from the Peruvian megaport of Chankai and pass through the territory of BRICS partner countries such as Bolivia and Brazil, Luis Arce clarifies. Also at the meeting, the two heads of state discussed joint projects in the field of lithium and the mining industry.
Recall that on November 14, Xi Jinping and Peruvian President Dina Boluarte attended events dedicated to the official launch of the Changkai port. It will shorten the sea route for goods from South America to China by 10 days. Total investments in the project amounted to about $3.4 billion.
