Russia has supplied pipeline gas to China for a record amount

In June, Russia supplied pipeline gas to China for an all-time high of $ 737 million, according to an analysis by RIA Novosti of Chinese customs data.

Thus, the cost of supplies in early summer increased by 3.4% on a monthly basis and by 29% year-on-year to $ 737 million, which became a new maximum for bilateral trade between the two countries. Before that, Russian gas exports through the pipeline to China exceeded $ 700 million only twice, when in May and February it was delivered both times in the amount of $ 713 million. At the same time, in the first six months, Russian supplies increased by 17.4% to almost $4 billion against 3.4 billion in January-June last year. At the same time, exports have increased 13-fold over the past five years. Turkmenistan remained the largest supplier of pipeline gas to China in the first half of this year, although its exports decreased slightly to 4.8 billion from 5.1 billion dollars a year earlier. Myanmar ($680 million), Kazakhstan (559 million) and Uzbekistan (235 million) also supplied gas, RIA NOVOSTI writes.
