Russian pipeline gas supplies to China increased to $2.81 billion in January - May

This was reported on Tuesday by the Main Customs Administration (GTU) of the People's Republic of China.
The physical volume of imports of the specified energy carrier is not given in the online system of the department.
According to the department, Turkmenistan still occupies the first place among the states selling pipeline gas to China: in five months, supplies from this country to China amounted to $4.25 billion dollars in value (an increase of about 13.5%). Russia is in second place, followed by Myanmar (an increase of 23.1%, to $630.53 million). This is followed by Kazakhstan (a decrease of 25.4%, to $300.13 million) and Uzbekistan (a drop of 60.71%, to $118.63 million).
In May alone, the volume of Russian pipeline gas supplies to China in monetary terms reached $480.74 million, a decrease of 15.5% compared to April.
According to official data, the supply of pipeline gas from Russia to China in 2022 increased in value by 2.63 times, amounting to $3.98 billion, writes TASS.
