The Chinese army has completed military exercises around Taiwan

The armed forces of the People's Republic of China on Monday completed military exercises around the island of Taiwan.

This was stated by the official representative of the Eastern Zone of the Combat Command of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) Shi Yi.
"The PLA has successfully completed the patrols and exercises "United Sharp Sword" around Taiwan, which took place on April 8-10," the statement published on the command zone page on the WeChat social network said.
It notes that during the exercises, Chinese troops demonstrated the skills of interaction between different types of troops in a real military conflict. "The eastern zone of the combat command is ready for combat and is capable of conducting combat operations at any time," the statement emphasizes.
According to Shi Yi, the PLA "will resolutely hinder the plans of separatists seeking the so-called independence of Taiwan, as well as external forces trying to interfere [in China's internal affairs]," writes TASS.
