According to the decree of President Vladimir Putin, Chinese citizens will be able to enter Russia without a visa if the purpose of the trip is tourism, guests, business or participation in cultural, scientific and sporting events. The period of stay is limited to 30 days, and the valid passport of a Chinese citizen remains the basis for entry.
The measure is mutual in nature: the Chinese side made a similar decision and also allowed visa-free travel to Russians on comparable terms. The document emphasizes that the regime applies, among other things, to transit through the territory of Russia.
At the same time, visa-free travel is not valid for those who plan to work, study, live in Russia or engage in international trucking. Standard entry rules are maintained for these categories of citizens.
