The agreement was reached during the visit of a delegation of heads of cultural institutions of Perm to China and the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Perm Museum of Local Lore and the museum of the city of Qingdao, the press service reports. The museums have agreed to exchange collections and hold a number of joint events.
According to Tatiana Vostrikova, director of the Perm Museum of Local Lore, both sides are interested in cooperation. A list of projects for cooperation will be prepared by mid-April, and an exchange is planned in the field of paleontology, ethnography, and children's museum programs, she noted.
The Perm and Qingdao museums will use the resources of their collections and the professional competencies of their staff, organize exhibition exchange projects and cultural, scientific and educational exchange events in Qingdao and Perm, and expand cooperation between institutions, Vostrikova said.
